Meet, Brie! When I first met Brie she was looking for a rental. We looked at a few places in Springfield but the market was tough and the rent to value ratio was off. Rents were high, quality of the properties was low. So we extended her search and found "the one" in Enfield! When Brie's lease was up, her landlords decided to sell (it's still a seller's market after all!) so Brie was going to have to move again. This time she would buy so that the next time she had to move it would be because SHE wanted to. We looked again in the greater Springfield area and found a few she liked. The market is still crazy so we lost a few. Then we even found what we thought was "the one" in Enfield and another home buyer found "the one" in the house Brie was renting. The two houses were under contract until both home inspections revealed failing roofs. Both buyers backed out. A problem for everyone. The solution? Brie decides to make an offer on the house she lives in! Landlords and Tenant became Sellers and Buyer. A price and a new roof were negotiated. And now Brie is a proud homeowner and she didn't even have to move again!
