Meet Ashley & Jeff!  These guys were ready to upgrade and in the super hot sellers' market that is western Massachusetts right now, it was the perfect time for them to sell.  Buying, however, would prove to be challenging.  We looked at houses while they worked on getting their own house ready for the market.  We even found a few they liked and made a few offers.  With multiple buyers competing for all the good houses they missed out on a few.  We all started to get discouraged.  Jeff and Ashley even considered putting their plans on hold and staying put for awhile.  And then they found 609 Miller St!  This brick ranch checked a lot of their boxes and even offered a few bonus amenities they were happy to find.  They now have plenty of room to start a family, put in a pool and let the dogs run in the yard!  Thanks to our mutual friend, Miranda, for connecting us!  I had a great time getting to know these guys and I'm so happy they chose me to help them buy and sell!  I can't wait to visit Miller St. and see what they've done with the place!  

It's no secret... I have a lot of tattoos.  I started young and worked in the industry for close to 20 years so I had the unique opportunity to get tattoos from some of the best in the business.  Even good tattoos fall victim to time and age.  Bodies change and colors fade.  Happy with all of my tattoos at the time I got them and still happy to have them all now, no matter how they look, I was resigned to live with my tattoo choices as I made them at time.  And even though I'm running out of space, I occasionally get a really great tattoo idea.  So what to do with a great idea without the space to execute it?  Enter the cover-up!  

Justin Markure is an incredibly talented tattooer at Body Graphics Tattoo in South Windsor, CT.   He is also my past client and friend.  After noticing a few really fantastic cover-ups he had posted on Instagram, I got a wild idea for a cover-up of my own and I decided to reach out to him for a consultation.  The consult went well, Justin was up for the challenge I presented and we made an appointment to start the project.  Several appointments later, I have a brand-new, beautiful tattoo that far exceeded my original idea and expectations.  Thanks to Justin for knocking this out of the park!

Meet John and Alexis!  I first met these two back in early 2017.  We were introduced by a mutual friend when they were looking for a rental.  We found them an excellent spot in Chicopee where they settled in, finished their wedding plans, got married and immediately started saving for their first house!   Just past their second anniversary in the Chicopee apartment, they were packing up to move into a beautiful new home in Holyoke!  These guys were fantastic planners with a checklist of goals that I happily watched them annihilate.  They are living proof that:  having a plan > not having a plan.  Because they mapped every step out and were prepared for potential bumps in the road, they were able to avoid them at every turn.  Everything went so smoothly throughout their home purchase it was almost too good to be true!  I'm now recommending that you #belikejohnandalexis in addition to my previous 2018 recommendation that you #belikecori  

John and Alexis were initially looking for a multi-family home with the intention of moving his parents into the first floor and living on the second floor themselves.  Their plans for the future include children and having a multi-generational family home was going to be  advantageous in two ways for them.  One, it would allow them onsite help with childcare while they work and two, it will be a great way to allow them to care for their parents as they age,  In my humble opinion, not enough adult children are proactive with considering care for aging or ailing parents, this is a cause that's close to my heart and I love, love these guys for their thoughtful selflessness.  But I digress... We looked at a few multi-family homes and even put an offer in on one that didn't work out before this beautiful ranch came on the market.  The real find in their house hunt would not be a multi-family after all!  It would be a wonderfully updated single family home with an in-law apartment!  

I clicked with these guys from the start.  It was very fun to work with them on their original rental, it was easy to stay in touch and now that we've been through the home buying process together, I'm happy to say we're all good friends who will be eating ramen and drinking whisky together often in the future.  Here's to you, John and Alexis!  May your troubles be less and your blessing be more and nothing but happiness come through your door!

Oh, boy, Western Mass, you sure are tough on renters!  In this case, I had not one, but THREE very well qualified tenants who were looking for a house to rent.  Alex, Chris and Jon, had already been roommates for several years and were only looking to move because their current landlord was selling the house they were renting.  Not quite ready to buy even though all three of them could easily qualify, they just wanted a nice, single family rental that was conveniently located for each of their commutes to work.  We saw (and applied for) several houses and I was shocked when these guys lost a place or two due to stiff competition and multiple applications submitted.  The timing was finally right when we submitted their application package for 137 Winton St.  Plenty of space for these roommates and the location couldn't have been better since it was just minutes away from their old address.
