Oh, condos!  If you are a condo person I will not argue as to whether or not it is the best fit for you.  And I will gladly help you find the best condo for you!  But I will also always remind people that condo fees do not build equity and almost always go up over time.  And that you can get a landscaper to take care of the exterior of your single family home for a lesser annual expense than you'd likely pay in condo fees.  What can I say?  If I'm going to own something, I want absolute control of it.  Does that make me a control freak?  I can handle that.  All of that said, when a condo is the right thing for you it can be wonderful.  Most of the time buying and selling condos goes just as smoothly as any other transaction.  Unless you have an issue with the home owner's association.  In this particular case, my client was selling her condo and her worst enemy was her own HOA.  They delayed her closing by almost 4 weeks by simply not having their "stuff" together.  Saying all of that to say this...  READ YOUR CONDO DOCS and PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOUR HOA IS UP TO!  Congratulations to my seller who wins an award for her patience and to the new owner who also has the patience of a saint.

The pressure is on when your client comes to you on a referral from his mom who is also a realtor!  Not all agents help tenants, even when they are their own kid!  So I'm always super happy to be trusted by one of my peers to help members of their own families.  We found a great place for Lyle and Diana and mom approved!  Duplexes rule!

A wicked nice condo for a wicked special lady!  I'm so SO happy this one worked out the way it did.  This condo was one of the best kept units I've toured in a very long time.  The location is fabulous and the competition was FIERCE.  I'm so very glad my client decided to go all in because I completely agreed that this was the one for her.  Congratulations, Margie!
