Dollar dollar bill, y'all

This was an epic battle between cash buyers. List price on this condo was $122,900.00 and my client eventually won the multiple offer contest with a bid of $130,200.00. Was it the extra $200.00 that did it? Probably! When in doubt, throw a weird number out! It was just wild to see that even when you have a dream buyer with some cash to throw around, they still have to compete and they still have to overpay. Have I mentioned that the market is nuts?

Meet Alicia and Nick! These midwestern transplants were renting in town and decided they liked it well enough to put down some roots and stay for awhile. It was such a pleasure to meet these two and to help them achieve their homebuying goals. Their new home has a fenced in yard for the pups, a finished basement that offers lots of extra space and a guest room for hosting the in-laws as needed. Their search was originally wider spread but I'm so glad they found what they were looking for in town. I'm excited to have them for neighbors and look forward to seeing them around! This picture makes it look like I just got the key to my new sorority house! What a great bunch of women I had the good fortune to work with on this one! From the lender, to the lawyer to the listing agent this was a ladies only event. Thanks again to the universe for connecting me with another amazing family who happened to be home shopping. Meet Kelsey and Richard! I met Kelsey and Richard way back in January and together we poked around this crazy market in winter, spring and summer. We made a few offers, we lost a few contests. In the end, they found the one in East Hartford. Conveniently located for their work commutes, central air and a garage helped make this baby the total package. I'm really starting to love Wethersfield! Wethersfield is arguably the oldest town in CT and it has the state's largest historic district! My wonderful friend/clients found this beautiful gem in the historic district and were able to win the multiple offer contest with a VERY bold move. They waived their home inspections! Thankfully, this was not their first home-buying rodeo, so they were able to do so confidently. Being super aggressive as a buyers got them into the very first house they made an offer on! Congratulations, Todd and Phaedra! May this be the last house you buy... (in CT!).
