Meet Samantha!  She had a heck of a time buying her first condo but she handled it with style and grace!  She was one week away from closing on the first condo she wanted to buy when we were told they would not be able to complete the purchase due to an issue with condo association's budget.  Her contract was cancelled through no fault of her own.  Her lease would be up in a week and with no where to go, we started looking again.  There was not a lot of time and she had to move fast.  Thank the universe!  A gorgeous condo popped on the market that was even better than the one she lost.  She never gave up and was rewarded with a nicer place to call home!  Stressful?  Yes!  But so worth the better result in the end!  Congratulations, Sam!  You did it!!!! 

That face you make when they tell you you can't eat at the CHEEZ-IN Diner, but you can still take a photo in their car. 

​In the name of spontaneous adventure we drove to Woodstock, NY to eat CHEEZ-ITs.  The internet said you could get in line until 9pm so we arrived promptly at 8pm.  And were turned away.  More proof that you simply cannot trust the internet.  As a consolation prize, we were allowed to take a photo in this CHEEZ-Y 1960s Cadillac.  They also let us sample all the CHEEZ-IT flavors and we played some songs on a CHEEZ-IT operated jukebox.  

We ended up eating at delicious sushi restaurant in downtown Woodstock and the fun and friendship were worth the trip... even if we didn't get to try a CHEEZ-IT milkshake.  

In this real estate tale, my clients were relocating from CA to CT and wanted to try to find the one on a short trip in the spring for an early summer move.  With a wide search area to cover, we blocked several days, booked tons of showings and toured and abundance of houses.  With a world of difference between their top two choices the final decision was a practical one.  There was little to no work to do here!  With a steep driveway being the ONLY con, move-in ready won out over charm, character and years of projects to come.  (Their choice aligns with my values!)

Their new house is gorgeous and I'm looking forward to see how they make it there own!  Welcome and congratulations, Bill & Ceci!

Home sales that require probate approval can be tricky.  Especially when the estate representative is not local.  In this case, my client was selling his deceased sister's house.  We were able to work through everything fairly easily even though it was a long distance transaction.  It only took a bit longer than usual and thankfully everyone was patient.
