A few weeks ago, I had some Sunday morning real estate showing appointments way down in Bridgeport, CT. At the time I was trying to maximize the quality time I spent with Sean before he left for his next tour. But I still had to work. What to do, what to do? Bribe Sean with brunch! He could ride with me to my appointments, and after I showed a few houses, we could go to brunch! Waiting in the car while I show houses is not a super fun way to pass time, so bless Sean for taking one for our team once and a while so we can get that extra hang time in!
We got to Brennan's around noon, the fire was roaring and we got a seat right next to it. There was a three piece jazz ensemble playing the whole time we were there and they were awesome! They had $5 bloody marys and mimosas, and I love a good deal on a breakfast drink! They offer a full Irish breakfast on their brunch menu which you can order with or without a Guinness (Sean opted for with). And I felt like we were back in Ireland too, since I ordered the veggie omelette and it had corn in it. In Ireland they put corn on everything including sandwiches and pizza. Weird, but kind of good. For an Irish pub in CT, Brennan's sure felt authentic! We had a leisurely and cozy meal by the fire, service was super friendly and our brunch date at Brennan's made the trip to Bridgeport more than worthwhile. Definitely try it if you're in the area!
